Warning after skimming devices are found on cash machines in Perthshire
ByNews reporter
Police are warning people to be vigilant after skimming devices were discovered on cash machines in Perthshire.
They were discovered on cashpoints in Scone and Errol this week.
Officers are urging anyone who notices anything suspicious to report it to police well as the bank or store where the ATM is situated.
The devices are designed to read cash and credit card details without the knowledge of the cardholder.
People are being urged to pay close attention and look to see if there is anything stuck into or onto the machine.
If anything looks out of place, they are urged to not use the machine and immediately inform the authorities.
Anyone who finds any suspicious device or has any information regarding suspicious activity around cash machines is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, or speak to any officer.
