The M90 is to remain partially closed following a crash near Perth on Tuesday.
The hard shoulder and inside lane of the southbound carriageway between Junctions 10 and 9 was cordoned off while engineers for Bear Scotland assessed the damage.
The closure will remain in place until Thursday morning while repairs are made to the road surface.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Unit representative said: “A lane closure will remain in place tonight to allow our teams to resurface the damaged section of road.
“Whilst some minor disruption may be experienced, the lane closure is necessary to carry out these vital emergency repairs and to ensure the safety of motorists as well as our workforce.”
Diesel spilled onto the road after a lorry collided with the central reservation at around 10am on Tuesday.
A man has since been charged in relation to the incident.
