A 19th Century Angus castle has gone on the market with a £2.5 million price tag.
Kinnettles Castle, near Forfar, is one of three historical Scots buildings put up for sale by exclusive venue hire company AmaZing Venues.
In 2010 Kinnettles was chosen by England football star Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen as the setting for the christening of their son Kai.
Kinnettles is currently operating as an exclusive-use conference, wedding and corporate events venue, with 11 letting bedrooms and a garden pavilion marque.
The baronial-style stately home sits in 44 acres of parkland and the gate lodge has also been converted to provide two additional letting bedrooms.
AmaZing Venues has instructed Colliers International to market the impressive Angus property, along with 15th Century Ackergill tower, near John o’ Groats, and Carberry Tower, a 16th Century mansion seven miles south of Edinburgh city centre.
Offers of more than £4.5 million are being sought for Ackergill, while Carberry Tower has a £3 million price tag.
Colliers’ Scotland Hotels team director Alistair Letham said: “It is not often that we see properties of such great historical significance come to market, so to be appointed to dispose of three magnificent historic properties at the same time is a truly rare instruction.”
