Police put diversions in place on the Glamis to Kirriemuir road after a tree fell across the A928 around lunchtime. The road was cleared with the help of Strathmore Estate and Angus Council at 2pm. And, later in the afternoon, drivers were advised to avoid the Forfar to Montrose road after two or more trees fell on the carriageway. The road was closed after 4pm, with traffic turned back at Mosston Muir Farm.
