The youngster spent two days in the Perth flat with his mother's body after she passed away. A toddler who was trapped in a flat with the body of his dead mother for two days is recovering well from his nightmare ordeal, his family said. Little Mason Martin was rescued by police when they forced their way into his mum Lydia Macdonald’s flat on the edge of Perth city centre. The 28-year-old is believed to have died from an asthma attack. A neighbour said she had heard Mason calling through the letter box: “Please help me wake up my mummy.” The brave three-year-old’s grandparents said that the youngster was now their number one priority. Mason has been recovering in hospital and has been told his mother is gone, grandfather Ron Macdonald said. Read more in Saturday’s edition of The Courier.
