A Dunfermline heroin dealer has been jailed for 10 months.
Paul Greechan, 42, a prisoner at Perth, admitted that between January 27 and March 6 at James Street, Dunfermline, and elsewhere he was concerned in the supply of heroin.
At Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Friday, depute fiscal Dev Kapadia said Greechan came to the attention of police officers when they saw him drinking beer in a street and he was given a fixed penalty.
Defence agent Gordon Martin said his client had a long-standing drugs problem and at the time of the offence was “dealing at street level” to feed his habit.
Sheriff Craig McSherry jailed Greechan for 10 months and ordered forfeiture of £242.81.
