Police are on the hunt for a group of teenagers following a weekend fire at an Angus beauty spot.
A fire crew and police arrived at Auchmithie on Sunday night, to find an old fishing shed well ablaze.
And the fire, overlooking the North Sea at the historic fishing village, is being treated as suspicious by police.
Bystanders said they believed a group of four teenagers were seen running away from the scene before police arrived.
A spokesman for the fire service said yesterday: “We attended with one jet to reports of a fire in a shed at Auchmithie.
“The engine arrived after a 999 call at 7.08pm and the fire was dealt with at 8.42pm.”
A police spokeswoman for Tayside Division said: “Police Scotland attended at a building in Auchmithie at 7.40pm on Sunday June 14 after reports of a fire.
“The fire is being treated as suspicious and anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
The rugged coastline of Auchmithie was featured heavily in the 2013 Scarlett Johansson film Under the Skin.
