St Johnstone’s top goalscorer, Michael O’Halloran, has extended his contract.
The former Bolton and Celtic man, who hit the net 10 times from out wide and through the middle in the last campaign, is now tied down at McDiarmid Park for two more years.
Manager Tommy Wright said: “I am very pleased with this. Michael has proved he has a goal threat whether he is played out wide or in the centre.
“His biggest asset is his pace. Defenders detest going up against it.
“At his age, he can only get better. He has matured as a person and as a footballer since coming in from Bolton and I can only seeing him getting better and better.
“Michael has been benefiting from regular first team football and I will keep at him, reminding him he can go on to play at a higher level if he continues to develop. It is entirely down to him.
“His decision to extend his stay here is another big plus for us.
“It is another sign we are going in the right direction as a football club.”
