Ex-Auchterarder pupil Stephen Harper

A former pupil at Auchterarder High School, Stephen Harper, has died aged 31.

Mr Harper, who also had the surnames Mactavish and Watson in his early years, had been living in Aberdeen.

After leaving school he started a career in catering but had been working as the manager of a ceramic tile distributor.

He became ill last year and was diagnosed as having Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Mr Harper underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy but died in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

He is survived by his husband Gavin.

Mr Harper’s funeral takes place today at Perth Crematorium at 4pm.
