Hundreds of athletes took their marks for the annual Glenrothes Road Running Festival.
Entrants ranged from highly-honed athletes to charity runners.
Centred on the Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre, the 2015 event began with a 2k fun run with entrants able to walk, jog or run the distance.
This was followed by the traditional junior track jog for pre-school children with the 300-metre run round the sports centre track.
The 10k road race followed and was open to everyone aged 15 and over.
The 4k fun run was again open to runners of all ages.
Family entertainment and attractions also drew the crowds.
The festival was sponsored by Fife Olympiad, Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, Asda, Active Fife, Police Scotland and Entry Central.
Organisers said the success of the event depended greatly on the help of volunteers and stated their appreciation of those who generously give their time.
