Family of Fife road accident victim Logan Carrie make personal plea to transport minister
ByCheryl Peebles
An accident blackspot where a nine-year-old boy died will be visited by Scotland’s transport minister following a plea for action by his heartbroken family.
Logan Carrie was struck by a car on the A92 in his home town of Glenrothes in February.
His mother, grandparents, sister and aunt met with minister Derek Mackay and cabinet secretary for infrastructure Keith Brown in the Scottish Parliament on Thursday.
Logan’s grandfather Robert Brown, of Dunfermline, said Mr Mackay agreed to visit next month.
Mr Brown said he will show the politician the dangers of the dual carriageway in an attempt to persuade him to introduce measures to prevent more tragedies.
He said: “It’s not going to bring Logan back, I’m afraid, but if we get something done then it wasn’t in vain.”
