Motorcyclist killed in St Cyrus accident

A 38-year-old man died following a collision between his motorcycle and a car on Sunday night.

The collision between the Triumph motorcycle and the Seat Alhambra occurred on the A92 just north of St Cyrus around 7pm.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The 57-year-old male driver of the car was taken to Ninewells Hospial Dundee with non-life threatening injuries.

Police closed the northbound carriageway until around 1am on Monday.

Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to contact police on 101.
