Scotland’s Americana organisers taking a second shot at staging festival

Organisers of a washed-out weekend of Scotland’s Americana have revealed their plan to get back in the saddle next month.

The Saturday event at Padanaram, near Forfar, fell victim to a summer deluge leaving those behind the programme with no option but to pull the plug on proceedings.

“It was heartbreaking to have to call the event off but we are asking people to join us for Scotland’s Americana: Reloaded on Sunday August 9,” said a spokesman.

“Ticket holders will have their briefs honoured and access to the pre-show party on August 8.”

Horse riding, American cars and motorcycles and a range of other stalls and attractions are being lined up for the re-run.
