The roadworks run from the Tesco roundabout on Riverside Drive through to East Dock Street. Only one lane is open to traffic at certain stretches of the road. A council spokeswoman said: “Lane closures at Riverside Drive are in place to implement a new drainage system for the nearby residential development. “The work is on track to be completed. “There are a number of roadworks in place throughout the waterfront to allow for the £1 billion regeneration project. “Please bear with us while these essential works are carried out.”
