‘Nothing happening’ despite claims of Dundee United move for Stevie May

Dundee United will not be welcoming former St Johnstone striker Stevie May to Tannadice.
The Tangerines were reportedly interested in a loan deal for May, who moved to Sheffield Wednesday last summer from Saints.
It is understood an inquiry was made but the man who seemed to like playing against United for the Perth side is keen to stay in England and fight for his place at the Owls.
Speaking from their pre-season training camp near Arnhem in the Netherlands, a United source, when asked about May, stated: “There is nothing happening there.”
Another striker whose name has been linked with the Tangerines is former Inverness Caley Thistle man Billy McKay.
However, United boss Jackie McNamara played that one down while stressing that they are exploring a few other signing options after recruiting former Queens Park Rangers central defender Coll Donaldson.
The Tangerines take on AZ Alkmaar on Tuesday night in the second match of their Dutch tour.
