£500 million regeneration plans for Rosyth waterfront move on
ByLeeza Clark
People will have access to Rosyth’s waterfront for the first time in more than a century if plans for a £500 million development go ahead.
The Scarborough Muir Group aims to submit a planning application within months in a bid to regenerate the site and create 3,500 new jobs.
The ambitious plan will include a new waterfront promenade, shops, cafes, hotel, offices, homes and a business and commercial zone.
SMG director William McAllister said that as one of Scotland’s largest urban regeneration schemes, the firm was pleased to be making good progress towards the planning application.
It comes hot on the heels of Fife councillors making a commitment to regenerate the waterfront.
