Man tried to swallow bag of heroin when spotted by police

A Fife drug dealer ran away from police then tried to swallow a bag of heroin when caught.
Scott Napier, from Glenrothes, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and was jailed for 20 months.
Napier, 34, admitted that on March 24 at Haddington Crescent, Glenrothes, he was concerned in the supply of diamorphine.
He also admitted that he obstructed police officers and attempted to swallow a quantity of diamorphine and a third charge of being in possession of cannabis. The bag contained 17 wraps of heroin with a value of around £340.
Sheriff Craig McSherry jailed Napier for 20 months backdated to March 25 when he was taken into custody.
