Friends have paid emotional tributes to a young Fife woman who has died suddenly.
Nicole Ross, 22, passed away after being rushed to hospital on Friday.
Nicole, who lived in Windygates, near Leven, had been mourning the recent death of her mum Nessie, 49.
A former pupil of Bell Baxter High School in Cupar, Nicole worked as a nursing auxiliary with NHS Fife.
She had previously worked at Abbotsford Care Home in Kirkcaldy.
Her death has shocked her many friends, who said she was bright and bubbly and known for her sense of humour.
Paying tribute on social media, former colleague Margaret Erskine, wrote: “Beautiful Nicole. Such a tragedy, such a lovely, kind person.”
Margaret, who worked with Nicole at Abbotsford, added: “Always remember the laughs and giggles we had on night shift in Abbotsford.
“Sweet dreams angel. RIP.”
Friend Jessica Carter, who taught Nicole horse-riding, wrote: “Well, they have gained another massive, bright and sparkly star up there.
“Can’t quite get my head around it.
“Such a beautiful, caring, funny and strong young woman taken far too soon.
“You really are one in a million, Nicole.”
Maggie Hamilton-Allan said : “May you and your mum rest in peace.”
Police have said there are no suspicious circumstances but, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
