A benefits cheat could face a lengthy jail sentence when she returns to court next year.
Dawn Fraser, 51, of Pitcorthie Drive, Dunfermline, had been claiming disability allowance for her son for more than five years after he moved out.
She admitted that between November 10 2007 and June 11 2013 at her home at Maclean Gate, Dunfermline, and elsewhere she failed to give notification of a change in her circumstances affecting entitlement to the Department of Work and Pensions, having claimed Disability Living Allowance for her son and received £26,000 of DLA to which she was not entitled.
Defence agent Sarah Meehan said her client’s son suffered from epilepsy and she had found his behaviour increasingly difficult to manage.
Sheriff Charles Macnair set sentencing for January 20.
