Woman cut free from car by firefighters after accident on A9

A woman had to be cut free from her car following an accident with a lorry on the A9 near Perth.
The accident happened on the northbound carriageway at the foot of the Cairnie Braes at around 7pm. The female driver of the car was taken to hospital by ambulance after she was freed. Her condition wasn’t known.
The fire service remained at the scene helping to clear the carriageway which had been partially blocked during the incident causing delays for drivers.
At 7.20pm the fire service attended another road traffic accident on the A822 Crieff to Greenloaning road near Standingfaulds Farm. A man had to be released from his car and received treatment at the scene but did not require to go to hospital.
Earlier at 6pm firefighters tackled a house blaze at 10 Huntingtower Road in Perth where breathing apparatus and a hose reel were used to extinguish the kitchen fire. A woman was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene but wasn’t taken to hospital.
