Law firm Brodies reports increase in pre-tax profits

Major Scottish law firm Brodies has reported increased profits as its workforce topped 600 for the first time.
The firm broke through the barrier as it built out its new Aberdeen office.
Profits before partner distributions in the year to April 30 rose 14.2% to £27.1 million, while revenues increased for the fifth year running as they grew by 11.2% to £57.9m.
The company said that over the past decade it had delivered compound annual growth of 12%.
Managing partner Bill Drummond said: “We are pleased with the progress we have made, building on our sustained growth over the past decade and more with the successful completion of the first year of our current three-year strategic period.”
