More to come as Arbroath fireworks fund pushes on past £5,000 mark

Efforts to bring a community fireworks display back to Arbroath have raised more than £5,000.

Fireworks for Arbroath was formed following upset at a lack of fireworks in the town last November, and the group has more than 600 members on its Facebook page.

The volunteer group has raised £5,240 to date towards its November 7 display but hopes to raise another £3,000.

Fundraisers have held street collections and a bucket collection at Gayfield Park in the last fortnight and would like to thank everyone who donated.
