World’s top pipe bands among those heading to Perth Highland Games

This year’s Perth Highland Games is shaping up to be a spectacular event.
A total of 46 pipe bands have entered which will make the traditional massed bands display that closes the games a fitting climax. The 2015 games will be held at the North Inch on Sunday August 9.
The games will run all day, from 10am to around 5.30pm, and as well as the pipe bands and heavyweight events there are large entries for the solo piping, Highland dancing and track events, which include Scottish Championship running and cycling races.
Gates open at 9.30am and admission is £8 for adults and £4 for children/senior citizens with under 5s free.
