For once the weather was fair for Fife’s festivals.
The weekend saw the first Fife Youth Arts Festival spread across Kirkcaldy.
Fife Youth Arts Hub, which caters for creative youngsters up to the age of 25, launched Festival 15 as a free celebration of creativity in the kingdom.
The town centre was buzzing with events, from free workshops and performances taking place in Kirkcaldy Galleries, the war memorial gardens, Adam Smith Theatre, the Arts Hub in the Postings Centre and the Mercat Centre.
Yesterday, Fife Youth Arts headed to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with full-scale musical productions, exhibitions and live performances.
Meanwhile, Aberdour was also coming out to play, with its traditional parade, led by a very regal party.
Crowds joined in an array of Alice in Wonderland characters to mark the classic tale’s 150th anniversary.
The day was rounded off on the Black Sands with a beach day including sandcastle competitions, beach sports, harbour races and a raft race.
There was also a summer cycloscross race, musical concerts and a ceilidh.
And in Pittenweem, things were getting arty.
Its annual arts festival takes place over nine days and hosts more than 100 exhibitions in galleries, homes, studios and public venues.
Artists and craft makers are meeting visitors, selling their work and delivering a programme of talks and workshops.
