Former Dundee midfielder Stephen McGinn has been signed by Wycombe Wanderers on a two-year contract.
The 26-year-old joined the Dark Blues in January and was quickly awarded a deal until the end of last season.
Dens boss Paul Hartley was understood to be keen to keep him at the club however the former Sheffield United player opted to move back down south.
He has been on trial with English League 2 side Wycombe for most of this summer and has started in the Chairboys last three friendlies.
Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth said: “Stephen’s a very talented midfielder who’s comfortable with the ball at his feet and he can make things happen.
“We were very keen to bring him here on trial to take a closer look at him and he’s done more than enough to earn his contract. He’s not quite 100% match-fit at the moment but I’m confident that when we get him fully ready, he can be an excellent player in League 2.”
McGinn’s brother Paul is, of course, still with Dundee and was in the starting XI that defeated Kilmarnock 4-0 on Saturday.
