Fire rips through Angus cottage

A cottage in the Angus village of Letham has been destroyed by fire.

The blaze ripped through the single storey property at the end of Watson Street after taking hold around 6.30pm.

Two fire engines from Forfar attended and crews found the building well alight when they arrived on the scene.

A man and woman had been in the house at the time but managed to escape unhurt.
