Dene Shields in a pre-season friendly against Dundee.
Brechin City striker Dene Shields has been ruled out until next month due to a foot injury.
The 32-year-old returned to Scotland after five years in Malta when he signed for the Glebe Park men during the close season, but has been ruled out for the next four weeks after just one game for Darren Dods’ side.
The player-manager said: “It is disappointing news for everyone, including Dene.
“We could do with his experience and he is looking to re-establish himself in the Scottish game.
“We will just need to be patient until next month.”
Brechin have had a disappointing start to the season, losing all three competitive games and scoring just one goal.
