The number of drivers caught over the drink-drive limit has dropped by nearly 11% in Tayside since the introduction of new legislation.
Between December 2014 and June 2015, 171 people were charged with being over the limit.
The same period the year before saw officers stop and charge 192 people when the limit was 80mg per 100ml of blood.
Since the limit was reduced to 50mg per 100ml of blood, the majority of people were charged with readings that were lower than the year before.
Thirteen people who were charged gave readings which would not have seen them prosecuted the year before.
