A respected Forfar restaurateur has retired from the business after more than 25 years.
The Golden Dragon Chinese restaurant on Castle Street is under new ownership following the retiral of Tony Ip, who has run the premises since it opened with his wife Kim.
Mr Ip “didn’t expect to be in business this long” and added: “I’m going to miss the staff, who are amazing, and the customers who have been more like friends.”
Mr Ip began his career at the jockey club in Hong Kong in 1972 before moving to Forfar to manage the August Moon restaurant, also on Castle Street.
The restaurant has been taken over by business partners Laxman Shrestha and Himlal Aryal.
