Montrose move quickly to snap up former Rangers youth Greg Pascazio
ByThe Courier Reporter
Montrose swooped to complete the signing of Greg Pascazio in time for the centre half to make an impressive debut in the weekend derby win over Arbroath.
The 19-year-old was released by Rangers on Friday and manager Paul Hegarty wasted no time in bringing him to Links Park on a one-year deal.
Having spent the last few years in Rangers’ youth system, Pascazio appeared four times for Scotland U16s.
Last year he featured and scored in Gordon Durie’s side that beat Hearts in the Youth Cup final.
His signing will strengthen the Gable Endies’ defensive options and Hegarty still plans to add to his 18-man squad.
