Musicians rally to help boost fund for terminally-ill man

A musical society is helping to fund-raise for Arbroath man Grant Callachan.
Mr Callachan was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in June and friends have set up a fund to allow his family a last holiday together.
Arbroath Accordion & Fiddle Club’s annual open day takes place at the Meadowbank Inn on October 4, and vice-chairwoman Avril Abbot said the club “unanimously” decided the proceeds should go to the fund.
The afternoon club player session will run from 2 to 5pm, with Marian Anderson and Band playing for mixed dancing from 7.30pm.
