The View to tour Scotland to celebrate new album launch

Dundee rockers The View have announced a tour to promote their latest album.

The band’s fifth studio album Ropewalk is released early next month and to celebrate the launch they will tour six Scottish cities to perform acoustic gigs and sign albums for fans.

The View will play Glasgow on September 4 before visiting Edinburgh, Stirling, Dundee, Inverness and finally Aberdeen to meet fans.

Frontman Kyle Falconer believes the latest album may be the band’s best.

He said: “I think Ropewalk is our most inventive album yet. We really opened ourselves up to creative possibilities and thankfully the vision paid off.”

The band also play Glasgow Summer Sessions on August 29.
