Dunfermline teenager Ryan Williamson suffers double leg break

Dunfermline have been rocked by the news that promising full-back Ryan Williamson has suffered a double leg break.

The 19-year-old was carried from the field following a sickening collision with Forfar defender Michael Dunlop on Tuesday evening.

The player was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee and X-rays confirmed the Pars’ fears.

Williamson, a Scotland under-19 internationalist who has made 43 appearances for the East End Park side, took to Twitter to say: “Thanks a lot for everybody’s messages of support, much appreciated.”
