A life-changing £300,000 scratchcard win has left a Dundee community buzzing.
The lucky Fintry man who has requested to remain anonymous won the jackpot on a £3 bingo card he bought in the local Best-One store.
One customer said: “I was here when he won it. He was jumping all over the store.”
Mobeen Islam, whose family owns the store, said it was a great boost for the community.
He said: “This is a big thing for our community.
“For someone in Fintry to win has caused a big buzz.
“This is the first time we have had a win like this come out of our shop.
“He came in on Saturday afternoon saying he had won money and asking for the contact details and everything for the scratchcard.
“He was over the moon and maybe a little in shock still.
“He didn’t want anyone to know he had won.”
Although the customer’s identity remains a secret, the community is still enjoying the knowledge it was one of their residents who won.
Mobeen added: “It feels pretty good to know the scratchcard came from our shop. It’s given our shop a boost and everyone is talking about it.
“I wish him all the best.
“I hope he thinks about what he’ll do with the money and doesn’t just blow it.”
The store, which was formerly Costcutter, is located on Fintry Road.
