Arbroath Relay For Life 2015 was officially launched at Arbroath Golf Club.
Guests of honour at the event were newly-appointed ambassadors Cath Watt, Ashley Williamson, Gail Bogue, Kerry Jones, Kelly Cruikshanks, Mandy Ritchie and Jonny Booth.
The fundraiser also has three other local ambassadors, Louise Lawson, Mary Munro and Brian Cargill, who were unable to attend Friday’s fun and fundraising.
Teams have been fundraising and organising numerous cash-generating fun nights out in advance of the relay weekend at Arbroath Cricket Club, September 19-20.
The money raised through Relay For Life helps to fund Cancer Research UK’s world-class research to save more lives by preventing, controlling and curing all cancers.
Survival rates have doubled over the last 40 years and Cancer Research UK’s work has been at the heart of that progress.
