Dundee United aim to extend Nadir Ciftci’s contract

Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara has revealed he plans to speak to Nadir Ciftci about extending his contract.
The 21-year-old front man has been a revelation for the Tangerines so far this season and netted a double against St Mirren on Saturday.
Now, McNamara is to hold talks with the former Portsmouth, Kayserispor and NAC Breda player in a bid to persuade him to pledge his future to the club past his present contract, which is set to end in 2015.
The manager said: “Nadir scored another two goals at the weekend and he has been great for us.
“I am happy with the way he has settled in and he is a real asset for us.
“So we will be talking to him about extending his deal. He is a terrific lad.”
