East Fife manager Gary Naysmith has moved to bolster his options for the run-in by signing Jordan Leyden on loan from Partick Thistle until the end of the season.
The Fifers are currently sitting in pole position to take the fourth and final play-off spot but injuries have caused Naysmith a few headaches in recent weeks, so the acquisition of 24-year-old Leyden should give him a few more options.
Normally classed as a central midfielder, Leyden also likes to get forward by playing as either a winger or a striker and is known for scoring a number of goals in Partick’s Development League side.
Leyden spent a spell on loan at Inverurie Loco Works earlier this season and appeared as a substitute in the Highland side’s 3-0 loss to Hurlford United in the Scottish Cup.
