Police are trying to track down a group of football fans who sang religiously offensive songs on the way back from an East Fife match at Stenhousemuir.
British Transport Police is appealing for the public’s help in tracing the group of eight men, who caused the train to be delayed when it pulled into Linlithgow station.
The group were heard singing on the train between Larbert and Linlithgow on Saturday January 23.
The men aged in their mid to late teens travelled on the 17.28 Dunblane to Edinburgh service and left the train when it arrived at Linlithgow station.
They are believed to have been returning from the East Stirlingshire against East Fife match at Ochilview Park earlier in the day.
CCTV footage from the train and stations is being reviewed.
Anyone who was on the train or at the stations and who may have information which can help identify those involved is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or by texting 61016 quoting reference B8 of 01/02/2016. Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
