The former Pearl Assurance building (centre).
Planning permission has been granted for the ground and first floors of the former Pearl Assurance offices in Meadowside to be turned into flats.
The B-listed building dates back to 1896 and is on Scotland’s buildings at risk register.
Internal and external works to preserve and repair features will be carried out.
A council planning officer said policy supported alternative uses to secure the future of listed buildings, adding: “As there are residential flats on the upper floors and as the building is in an accessible location in the city centre, flats are an acceptable alternative use for lower floors.”
