Brechin 3 Dunfermline 2: City storm back to stun Pars
ByIan Roache
Brechin City produced a stunning comeback to beat Dunfermline 3-2 at Glebe Park in their League One clash.
The Angus men had been two down thanks to goals from Lawrence Shankland (31 minutes) and Ryan Wallace (54) for the Pars.
However, they were back in contention just three minutes after Wallace’s strike thanks to sub Derek Carcary’s close-range finish.
City were then level when Andy Jackson poked the ball into the net off Dunfermline player Stephen Husband with 61 minutes on the clock.
It stayed that way until the 89th minute when up stepped Dundee United loan man Darren Petrie to curl home a terrific shot from outside the box to score his first senior goal and grab all three points for the home team.
