Elizabeth House care home in Boreland Road failed to pay one employee £117. It was one of 92 companies across the UK named by the Government as owing £1.8 million in arrears. All the cases were thoroughly investigated by HM Revenue and Customs. Business minister Nick Boles said there was no excuse for not paying staff the wages they are entitled to. Companies must comply with the minimum wage by law.
