A man who covered his girlfriend’s car in shaving foam and smashed the side window after a row with her had sentence deferred for reports on Monday.
Paul William Skewis, 38, of Craigie Avenue, also admitted throwing the woman’s clothing across the street on Craigie Avenue on Friday.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard the couple had been out drinking in Broughty Ferry and after the disagreement, Skewis left the woman in a pub.
When she went back to his house she saw her car had been damaged and her clothes were strewn across it and the central reservation of Craigie Avenue.
Depute fiscal Vicky Bell said a neighbour heard Skewis shouting and swearing and the woman crying, and phoned the police. They arrived and Skewis was seen running away but was traced a short time later.
The damage to the car was put at £200. Skewis admitted causing the damage by repeatedly punching it, as well as covering it in shaving foam and throwing her personal belongings on the car and on the street.
Sheriff Thorley deferred sentence for reports and granted him bail with the condition not to approach or contact his partner.
