Elderly man taken to hospital after car accident in Angus

Police have launched a plea to trace a good Samaritan who came to an Angus crash driver’s aid.
The man came across the accident on the A935 Brechin to Montrose road on Friday night and flagged down an ambulance at the scene.
The elderly driver of the Ford Fiesta was taken to Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
Police Scotland said the crash happened around 9.45pm near the Dun junction, with the Fiesta coming to rest in a field.
A spokesman said: “Police would like to appeal to the driver of the vehicle who came across the accident and flagged down the ambulance to contact Police Scotland Divisional Road Policing Unit officers at Dundee on 101.
“Anyone else who may have witnessed the accident and have not spoken to Police is asked to contact is with any information they may have on 101.”
