One of Dundee’s oldest clothes shops will return to its historic premises at the end of this month.
Keith Scott, which specialises in kilts and Highland wear, will return to its historic Whitehall Crescent store, which it has operated from since 1900.
The company was forced to vacate the premises after ceilings collapsed and the basement of the shop was flooded in torrential rains on October 14 last year.
By the end of December last year, the outfitters was able to move to a vacant shop on Whitehall Street where it continued to trade.
Almost a year on, Keith Scott is able to return to its revamped Whitehall Crescent premises.
Director Douglas Wilson said: “We are moving back near the end of September, probably the last week.
“It has been fine in the Whitehall Street premises very busy. This premises was close at hand and we have managed very well.”
Mr Wilson is excited to return to the revamped store and believes the rapid development of the area, including the Malmaison Hotel and V&A museum, will help business.
“This is a new chapter in Keith Scott’s history,” he said.
