A Fife family has clearly got Easter generosity cracked after collecting an amazing 532 Easter eggs to donate to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.
Alex Fyfe, 8, and his little sisters Derryn, 6, and Jorgie, 5, from Dalgety Bay, managed the incredible feat with a little help from friends and family.
Alex first got the idea after waking up on Easter Sunday with a chocolate egg at his bedside following major surgery a few years ago, so he has decided to give the Easter Bunny a helping hand.
He was also supported by his team-mates at Nova Star football team, while Gym 64 also made a donation of eggs collected from their members.
“It’s a difficult time missing special occasions when your child is in hospital,” Alex’s mum Nichola said.
“We didn’t even give Easter a thought when Alex was ill so it was a lovely surprise when Alex woke in the morning to an egg at his bedside.
“The collection has been all Alex’s idea, which we have been extremely proud to support.”
Dad David added: “Alex always makes us proud, he has never stopped anything getting in his way despite all the operations he has had.”
The eggs will be given out to patients spending Easter in the hospital this weekend and there will also be eggs for the busy A&E department, the families using the drop-in centre, the outpatient clinics and those in for day surgery.
