A man has been rescued in a rooftop drama which led to part of an Angus street being closed off last night.
Emergency services rushed to Sidney Street in Arbroath shortly after 9.30pm following reports that the male had slipped and become trapped on the roof of a property.
Police and ambulance were joined by a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliance from Arbroath.
Firefighters were unable to reach the man and an aerial platform was then sent from Dundee’s Blackness Road station.
The man was safely recovered from the rooftop around 10.30pm and placed in the care of paramedics at the scene, but is not thought to have been hurt in the incident.
