Mother of Dundee murder victim Mary McLaren reveals flashback hell after sick threats on bus
ByAlan Wilson
The mother of a murder victim has told of her heartache after a man targeted her with sick threats on a Dundee bus.
Mary McLaren was killed by Patrick Rae in February 2010.
Five years on Mary’s mother, Margaret McIntosh, told how she was abused by Stefan Schnell on a bus on Victoria Road.
Schnell “growled” at her: “You’re going to get it worse than Mary.”
Schnell, 24, of East Milne’s Wynd, Dundee, was convicted of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner on Victoria Road on December 18, while on bail.
Sentence was deferred on him until April 2.
Margaret, 58, said: “The problems started ever since the day we lost Mary.
“He seems to just jump on the same buses that me and my daughter Michelle go on. Because he says these things about Mary, whenever I see him, I get flashbacks about what happened to her.”
Margaret said she wants a court order keeping him away from her and her family.
