ByThe Courier Reporter
Brian Cox will return to his home city this month to step back in time to his first big screen role.
The actor will attend a screening of In Celebration at Dundee Contemporary Arts on June 22, which will be followed by a question and answer session.
The 67-year-old, who recently played Broughty Ferry political candidate Bob Servant in a BBC4 series, will talk about his career and working with the film’s director Lindsay Anderson.
The 1975 film reunited the cast of In Celebration’s original Royal Court Theatre run from 1969. It follows three brothers returning to the Northern town where they grew up to celebrate their parents’ 40th wedding anniversary.
The film also stars Alan Bates, James Bolan and Bill Owen. Tickets for the event go on sale on Friday at 10am.
