Dundee have begun the search for a new head of youth.
Gerry Creaney has parted company with the Dens Park club and it is understood that the Dark Blues will cast their net far and wide as they seek to replace him.
An unnamed Dutch coach has been linked with the post, while there will be also be the inevitable speculation about Stevie Campbell returning to the club he played for after his controversial departure from Dundee United.
Dundee have thanked Creaney for his efforts, adding that his departure is a case of “mutual consent”.
Former Celtic striker Creaney said: “I would like to thank everyone at Dundee Football Club; all the staff in the foreground and in the background.”
“I am grateful to everyone within Dundee Football Club, especially the staff, coaches and children who have provided me with a wonderful experience. Good luck to all.”
