New Co-op store for Monifieth

Co-op Food is to open a convenience store in Monifieth, creating around 20 jobs.

It has agreed a deal to open in a newly-built shop unit at the Milton Mill development.

The store, in Mortimer Drive, will be approximately 2,000 sq ft and is expected to open at the end of October.

The Co-op already has stores in Panmurefield, Broughty Ferry, Dundee and Carnoustie.

It is the UK’s largest mutual business, owned by nearly eight million members, and is the UK’s fifth biggest food retailer.
